Beer snob here. Admitting it. Butcherknife isn't a brewery that gets talked about a lot in Colorado, and probably isn't considered the best in Steamboat. That being said, it's better than average/standard, and they have one of the best English Mild Ales in the state,...More

Worth the drive!!! Loved the Morningside Coffee Porter, for a lighter dark try Buzzcock. For hot weather the Kellerpils was good.

My husband enjoyed the beer and bought a t shirt....great designs. The bar was neat and the service was good, lots of locals coming in. It’s certainly a must if you enjoy beer.

Love Butcherknife's beers. Especially the Amputator IPA. No fruit or citrus. Just a good tasting IPA.

This is such a great place to get reasonably priced microbeers. We saw a lot of people who were regulars and friends hanging out. The beer was so good we took a 6 pack of tall boys on the road with us and have been...More

A brewery nestled in the hills of Steamboat Spring with a great setting. The individual working was very friendly and helpful. The Hefeweizen was very good and enjoyable. They also have a Hoppenwizen which is nice. At 8.5% you do not need many Hoppenwizens to...More

My girlfriends and I went here during a visit to Steamboat. Loved it! Great beer, fun atmosphere, happy bartender. Well worth the visit. My favorite was the IPA Amputator, Julie's was heffenweizer, and Katherine had a flight. Check it out!
