Took the last gondola ride up,to the top before closing until ski season opens in November. The summit has a band, bar food, happy hour and plenty of time to catch an amazing sunset. The experience was very nice and controlled, with ample photo ops. We photographed the sunset from the start until it disappeared. Great timed photography.

Stopped in at the base and asked for available discounts and the guy at the counter told me to grab a coupon book from the rack for $5 off the going $23 price and this was also an event day with a free sunset ride, which I didn't opt to since I had enough sunsets under my belt and it... More

We enjoyed the views from the gondola and the access to the upper trails at the top of the mountain for hiking.

We visited steamboat and went to the sunset on the peak event and we rode the gondolas up the mountain, enjoyed drinks and below average food on the mountain and watched the sunset and then rode down in the dark. The experience was frightening and exhilarating at the same time. For someone afraid of heights it took a lot to... More

This was a wonderful ride to the top where we went on a mile hike nature walk. The hike was a perfect family hike at altitude being very gentle and easy with spectacular views! There were several other hikes for the more ambitious and lots of bike trails as well.

Very Nice Way to Get Up The Mountain and take in the views in any season. We enjoyed taking the gondola up in the summer, the views were marvelous. I went for a couple hour hike, hubby with knee problems enjoyed an easier hiking loop near the lodge. We met up for lunch at the lodge. Recommend taking the Gondola... More

The gondola ride was great. Great views. If you go up during the day, put on sunscreen. My wife and I both got a little red.

We weren't here to ski or mountain bike (we were here in the early fall), but this ride up the mountain was worth the $23 apiece we had to pay. The gondola lift is a smooth ride (even in the wind). The view going up just keeps getting better and better. From the Thunderhead Lodge, the views are breathtaking. It... More

Rode up the ski slope in the nice clean Colorado air. It was a cool morning in July . We were able to see for miles, saw the town of steamboat and all the ski trails. No wild life but it was a nice sight seeing adventure.

Rode the gondola to the top of Mt. Werner for happy hour and dinner. Fun ride, beautiful views of mountain area and town.
