The Gondola serves most of the whole mountain, and getting on it is very easy. Even first thing in the morning it wasn't a long wait. Great way to meet mice people too!

It was recommended to us to take the sunset gondola ride, which we did. It turned out to be a very chilly evening and of course on the top of the mountain it will be colder, so we dressed accordingly. We enjoyed our gondola ride...More

I took the gondola up to meet my family for lunch. The ride up, I was in a full gondola. The views were amazing. On the way back down, I had a gondola to myself. I was able to take some great pictures.

Getting to the top of the mountain was never easier or cooler than on the Gondola at Steamboat Springs. A helpful employee puts your skis in and you ride in silence observing the winter beauty in Colorado! The Gondola could not be more convenient that...More

Our first day in Steamboat we took the gondola to the top of the mountain. It cost $30 each and we didn't realize that we could have ridden it for free with our lift tickets we purchased the next day. It was fun to ride...More

We have ridden the Gondola for skiing and for late evening mountaintop dining. Personally I prefer the ski lifts over the Gondola for skiing because I like the fresh air and the openness. A Gondola with 6 people can get stuffy. But it is a...More

It would depend on what time of year you go. If your pass is still valid, then you are probably okay. If you pass has expired, then you will need to buy a gondola pass.

Yes; it's open year round. Although during the shoulder season the hours are limited if I remember correctly. I have been there in October and it worked fine
