This is a section of the Yampa Core River Trail. There are only a few interpretive signs; it would have been nice to have more. There are some benches to sit on too, and look at the river.

It was late Dec '16 and the area was full of snow and started snowing some more. I wasn't able to get onto the boardwalk that much, but I suspect without snow, it would be a good place to walk. Easy to get to.

It's a little too circumscribed for great wildlife viewing but certainly a pleasant walk. It's accessible.

The Rotary Club along with others designed and developed this riverfront area. It was a nice idea for all the members of the community to try to showcase the river, birds, plants and provide an area for out of towners to see what the river...More

Its not every day you get to walk above the water in the willows. This is a magnificent walk anytime of year that gets you right over the river. Bundle up if its cold and take your sweetie on a walk over the river.

Just walking around late afternoon we found this to be a great relaxing walk. No problem with bugs, saw folks floating down the river, enjoyed the birds and it was nice and cool at the end of a warm day.

We thought that walking here would be enjoyable after dinner. We got eaten alive by mosquitos! They were everywhere. It got so bad we had to literally run through the final half of the boardwalk just to get away from them all. Despite the mosquitos,...More

This boardwalk is a natural area along the Yampa River - not a boardwalk in the theme park sense. It is free and open to the public.
