They aren't kidding when they say MAKE SURE your car has 4 wheel drive (or have chains). The reason for this is because there are quite a few steep hills that you have to climb in order to get there and, given steamboat, it is likely there will be snow/ice on the road. I've gone twice now; once at night... More

Every time I visit Steamboat, I always set aside some time for Strawberry Park (and usually a massage too!) This is just about as low key and relaxing as you can get without being inside your own home. There are several pools, each offering a different temperature from "can't stand it, it's too hot!" To "there's ice on it, I... More

Amazingly relaxing hot springs in a natural setting. Road leading in is difficult to navigate without proper equipment - All wheel drive, snow tires, chains, etc. The large hot pools are so relaxing. Basic cabins are set up in a couple spot for people to change in. Very difficult to see - some people had head lamps but we didn't.

I went there after 3 days of backpacking in the Rockies. It was beautiful and relaxing. There are 3 large pools so there is plenty of space even when there are a lot of people around. The great thing about this place is that there are no lights so its a very calming experience after sun goes down.

This is an off-the grid, no frills place but it is gorgeous, there are several hot springs at different temperatures. Bring your own water and also bring a hat if you don't like getting snow on your head as you soak!

After a long day on the slopes, hot springs are the perfect way to unwind. I certainly need to go back and experience this in the daylight, but for this particular trip, we only had time in the evening, right before sunset. The small hike to get there is pretty slick and cold. Once you get to a place to... More

We visited Strawberry Park Hot Springs during the day on NYE (so that we could avoid potentially long lift lines at Steamboat). This was our first hot spring experience and it turned out to be a very fun, different experience. The hot springs were a great, relaxing break for our muscles, which were tired and sore from skiing the days... More

The hot springs were a must see on our trip. I would suggest this after a long hike, perfect for sore muscles. Be careful of the time you go. Clothing is optional after dark!

After several days of snowboarding, several in our party were very sore. After leaving the Hot Springs, they were revived and could go back on the slopes.
