I have been taking art classes every summer since 2002. They feature classes in digital photography and new media, print making, sculpture, painting and drawing, ceramics, wood working and wood turning. I have taken one or two classes every year including one ceramics class in San Miguel de Allende, MX. They feature other programs and lectures. The kids programs are... More

ARAC is part of our Snowmass/Aspen Exprience. We put the events on our calendar and go sometimes not having the faintest idea what we will hear and see, other times fully aware. Sometimes we like the program. Sometimes we shake our head in wonder. But the ideas are always stimulating. The annual picnic at the end of the summer is... More

My wife has attended two week long workshops offered here for years, making it an easy choice for family vacations. Expert, well known, creative and talented staff and instructors. Professional, well maintained facilities. Awesome reputation! Don't hesitate or think twice about the opportunity. Well worth the tuition.

I took a one week art workshop, on abstract painting. It was very hands on with great technical instruction. The instructors, assistants and staff were knowledgable, helpful and interesting. This is a working artist retreat and designed for people with a real interest in art. The campus is very conducive to artistic discovery. The cafe provides three meals with varying... More

We only had enough time to stop into the gift shop, which offers some very unique and creative items. The whole campus is very appealing and invites you to walk through. It would have been nice to see the various workshops and talk with some of the artists. If you follow the road that this is located off of, it's... More

We waited until a Sunday and missed seeing oh so many parts of their program. The wood sculpture and clay sculpture which were in session were inspiring.

We happened upon Anderson Ranch after friends recommended it. We were blown away by the natural beauty of the setting, but we were really taken by the intimate place that it is. We were welcomed to walk into every studio to see and talk with the artists who were working in sculpture, clay, wood, paint, photography, and more. We bought... More

I was fortunate to experience a one week painting workshop with the fantastic Kimberly Brooks. The Ranch is a well run, friendly, beautiful environment to find your creative self. The staff is warm and helpful and the cafe serves up breakfast lunch and dinner that can't be beat!

The artist in residence program looks intriguing. The gallery is small, or at least only a small part was open when we visited. We saw no artist statement or explanation of the interesting works. The shop did not appear to be open. I suspect there is more going on in the summer.
