This is a great mining history Museum. It costs $10 to get in. You see the jail, post office, and the gem room along with all of the mining history which really told the story.

This museum houses an impressive collection of artifacts from the local mines and early America. There is a fabulous ore collection along with a printing press, stage coach, and literally thousands of other items. Be sure to see the original Teddy bear, the museum's most...More

I assumed I would be in and out of here in an hour. I was wrong. Plan about 2 hours to go through both buildings and all of the floors to see all of their incredible displays. Home items, a jail, tool collection and so...More

The outside of the building doesn't give you a clue about what's inside. How did they fit all that in there? This stop needs to be on the top of your must see list. 1st class. You won't be disappointed.

It's hard to believe that such a small town can put together such a fantastic museum. It's like actually being in a mine underground.

Oh, I just figured out the snow part. We couldn't get up to Highland Mary Lakes one year HIKING because of too much snow in the high country. So sorry for the mix-up.
