We really enjoyed this museum. You start in the jail, then move to a complete history of mining which includes everything you could possibly want to know and then end with the mineral display. There is so much to see and so many artifacts. Well...More

We absolutely loved this museum! We could have stayed all day long studying all the wonderful exhibits about the mining history. The exhibits were so interesting and well displayed. We will return someday and stay longer!

Oh, I just figured out the snow part. We couldn't get up to Highland Mary Lakes one year HIKING because of too much snow in the high country. So sorry for the mix-up.
