I love the drive from Silverton to Durango through the San Juan mountains! These are big and high mountains but also have the charm of the Appalachians because they are so green. The road is mostly in excellent shape so it won't take long to...More

If you are in southwest Colorado I would highly recommend the Million Dollar Highway. The drive is not for the faint of heart, but there are plenty of places to pull off to allow others to pass if you are overwhelemed (it is a twisty...More

Great view, slow going, but worth it. Be safe, and follow the speed limit signs. Be aware that some drivers may tailgate you and try to push you to go faster, but don't give in. Slow and steady makes it safe

Great views, waterfalls and lots of mining remains. Mind your speed there are many turnouts if someone is tailgating. It is a very safe road in my opinion.

Glad I did it. Probably not again. Everyone was behaving speed was reasonable- once I pulled over for someone riding too close. Was happy to do that. Spectacular scenery but you have to keep your eyes on the road!!

Beautiful drive from Durango to Silverton. Mountain views are a delight and Molas Pass is one of the highlights. Snow on mountaintops was awesome.

How tall at the tunnels? I know someone who has a truck with a slide-in camper, and he would love to be able to drive this terrific highway.

There were large 5th wheel campers and full size semi trucks, so I doubt a slide in camper would have any problems.
