Nice short walk along the Arkansas river. Will see some kayaking and some fishing off the banks. Nearby is a small park with playground. Close by is Salida's historic downtown with nice small shops and cafes.

We come here several times during the summer and enjoy a wide range of activities. You can bike or walk the trails, tube, raft, kayak or just relax and enjoy sitting by the water. The downtown historical center is right there with shops and restaurants....More

So relaxing to sit on the rocks beside the Arkansas River, in the shade, listening to the water, watching people playing and floating. Beautiful setting. Easy walking and water access. Kayak and fishing boat rentals.

Take a few minutes to walk this park along the river--not a long walk but beautifully done. Starts right downtown.

Had to take off my shoes--river was so high. It's a lovely walk in nature and artsy town. A good way to stretch your legs--easy stroll-while getting a riverside view of Salida.

This is a beautiful park where you can walk along the Arkansas River. There's plenty of space to do yoga or just sit on a bench and watch the river.

The river runs along the park. There are 4 or 5 places where the river drops and creates some whitewater. You can wade and swim in the calm water. The children will want to have life jackets if they want to float through the... More
