Felt very uncomfortable here. Not very welcoming and they are not cyclist friendly. Considering that this shop is located at the trailhead for one of the most famous mountain bike trails in the country this is too bad!

We love views of mountains from the top and Monarch Scenic Tram did not disappoint! The 360 views are amazing! There was snow and wild flowers and storms in the distance. You can stay at top as long as you want as long as safe....More

Up to the top of the world on this one. U are already at the Continental Divide which ia so cool. These trams take you to 12,000 feet. Crazy views all the way up and at the top. Loved it!!!!

The ride to the top is slightly scary for those of us who aren't fans of gondolas, but the views from the top are well worth it. The teenagers enjoyed talking pictures of their feet on either side of the continental divide.

Worth the time and money for sure! It's really cold and windy up at the top so make sure and take a jacket. Also don't forget the camera for the great picture opportunity.

It was windy the day we took the tram to the top. Although it was only a 10 minute ride it was a bit scary when the gondola started to sway in the gusts! Also, the gondola stops as passengers are being loaded & unloaded...More

I'm pretty sure it's closed in winter. It gets real windy up there.

What else is there to do nearby? If we drive down to the tram from Buena Vista, what else should we do that day?

I would go to Salida instead of Buena Vista. There are more galleries if you are into art and bike shops if you need to rent a bike. Lots of bike paths in and around Salida. Cute town with a park and many excellent... More
