Excellent visit,great story!
Dec. 2019 • Family
My Wife and family visited for some lunch and a tour. The bar itself is really special with attentive staff and a good varied menu, not to forget the beers on offer!
I dont want to ruin the tour by telling too much, but I will tell you this much. Our outstanding guide, Dave started our tour and it was clear it is a small setup- dont let that put you off! There is an amazing story behind this brewery and the staff that run it. The staff have got huge influence on what is brewed and actually get the opportunity to taste and grade every Sunday!
Thankyou Dave for a superb tour and thankyou for the generous and mighty samples we enjoyed!
A wonderful visit all round. Highly recommended.

Come for the tour, stay for the food

Barry showed us round and was very approachable and knowledgeable. He didn't go over the top with things and yet spoke very passionately about his business, brewing and Sallins, it was a really good way to spend some time on a Saturday afternoon

Fantastic Day of Brewing
Feb. 2019 • Friends
Received a Christmas present from my daughter and son-in-law when they visited my wife and I back in Chesapeake, Virginia, USA this past Christmas. It was a day of brewing with the folks from Kildare Brewing Company in Sallins, Co. Kildare. As a homebrewer this was a gift much appreciated. On our visit to Ireland this past February, my son-in-law and I spent an entire day, 0900 -1700 with the head brewer, Rob and assistant brewer Orla, helping out on a brew day. A pale ale was scheduled on the day we visited. Rob and Orla were very knowledgeable and patient in answering all the questions we had and explaining the process from a commercial brewing point of view. An added benefit was the time that the owner, Barry spent with us discussing beer and kombucha brewing as well as the lunch provided as part of the experience. The food was great, we had the Cajun chicken sandwich with sweet potatoe fries. The chicken was cooked to perfection as were the fries. Both tasted great and were washed down with an excellent Kildare Brewing Company Pale Ale. During the brew day, we also sampled a Kildare wheat, a session pale ale, a red ale, and a lager. At the end of the brew day we were rewarded with a growler each of Kildare Brewing Company Beer. We both chose the pale ale. All in all a fantastic day with fantastic people that expanded our knowledge of brewing. Cannot say enough about Barry, Rob, and Orla. When our ride arrived, wife, daughter and grandson, we decided to stay for supper. The dishes included hot wings, Cajun chicken sandwich, nachos, burger, and chicken goujons for the grandson. All tasted great. If in Dublin it is a short train ride to Sallins and a five minute walk from the station to Kildare Brewing Company. If doing a brew day dress in layers and wear rubber soled shoes that can take getting a little wet.

Friendly Staff, great brews

Great little spot doing a great job at brewing local beers & ales. I have only one issue, they serve good food here too so if you want a drink you feel like your in a restaurant no a bar you will never get a table and nearly have to reserve a chair at the bar just to have a drink - a good complaint for the owners but not if you just want to try their brew.
