If you love learning about old Colorado towns, then stop in the museum. Displays depict the people who made Ouray what it is today. The display of the Doctor’s office, Dentist office and Operating room makes you thankful to be alive today!

A very well organized, comprehensive museum. Tastefully arranged displays all housed in a historic old hospital. Plan on spending a few hours in order to fully appreciate all the time and energy it took to create these wonderful displays

It was worth the time. However, it did take some time. There are many items and displays. But the displays and areas are organized very well which makes it less overwhelming. The marketing materials say that the Smithsonian rates this the best in the west...More

Three full floors of historic items. The layout is great with each exhibit being specific to a certain area of life (medical, mining, household, etc.). Of the 15 museums we have visited within the last two years between Leadville and Albuquerque this is by far...More
