This was a wonderful experience. Post is the name of the owner, also known as Fence Post. What a guy! An old cowboy, that's been riding horses and bulls for years, and guiding people on hunting expeditions. He has a great bunch of horses, and the ride goes up thru a steep ascent on Gold Mountain. The 4-hour ride does,... More

We tried to go on a fun ride with our teenage grand daughters but we're very disappointed by the pre ride preparation by the staff. We arrived early and thought we would be on the trail at the advertised time--some 30 minutes later the group was stil not ready to go--saddles were not secure, attitude of the female staff member... A pleasant 1 hour horseback ride on well-mannered, well cared for horses with a bonus gift from the head wrangler of a crocheted water bucket. These are the kind of fun jokes Mr. F (Fence) Post shares. He's a character and just spending time with him is worth the trip. Best ride we've had in the area!

rI decided to visit Ouray so I could walk the same ground the men and women did in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The miners are part of what made the USA the great country that it is today. Little did I know I was going to meet someone just like the miners. Fence Post is what I consider... More

We had an awesome time! Fence Post, the owner, is a HOOT! He's quite entertaining to talk to as we were getting saddled up for our ride. Each of the 6 of us in our group was appropriately paired with a horse and then sent on our way for a breathtaking and exciting trail ride up the mountain with a... More

I was very happy with the price for ride. We went for the 2 hr ride but when all was said and done it took about 3 hours total. There were several short breaks for the horses as we began at 8,200' and rode up to 9,400'. The guide took our photos as the peak of the ride and we... More

My family and I booked a 2 hour trail ride with Mr. Fence Post. He was a colorful Cowboy who got us organized and ready to ride. Our trail leader - I believe her name was Byrnne was fabulous with the kids and adults as well. Even with the light rain that fell on us, we had a great time... More

The main guy here was pretty good and pretty funny and informative. The tourguides were flat out rude to my kids. When things got a little out of hand with a horse, she would yell at the kids as opposed to helping with the situation. It was just a bad day it seems. The horses were a bit rowdy and... More

The owner was fun. Great views. Horses were more like trail horses so ride was more challenging. They also accommodated our schedule so we could go on two hour ride. Highly recommend!

My wife enjoys riding and every time we travel she looks for a riding stable. She was especially pleased with the trail ride at Bach'lers. She had an early morning ride with wrangler/guide "Hairpin" (Brynne Skalla). She was an excellent horsewoman with a knowledge of the area. The scenery is great and the ride climbs to about 10,00 feet. My... More
