Guarantee when Merlin takes over something good and turns it into an 'attraction ' it becomes very unattractive. Expensive entry prices, disgusting cafe . Fine if you don't want anything other than pasty or sausage roll. Shame they couldn't have afforded to keep it as it was. p.s. Merlin ruined lands end too

Visited whilst we were staying at a Haven site in Hayle. My husband has always wanted to come here and I'm quite fond of seals and penguins. We managed to get in using the parent and toddler deal that I pre booked online on the morning before we left. We paid £20 for 2 adults and 2 children aged 5... More

This place is well worth visiting for a few hours. The setting is lovely and the staff do a really good job informing visitors about how they look after the seals and help them return to the wild. Really interesting for children and adults alike and although not cheap, you can see that the money is put to good use.... More

My family and I visited the sanctuary over the Easter holidays having first been there some 6 years ago. We were pleasantly surprised that the high standards of care still existed and the old favourite resident seals were still in the communal pool. We watched the seals being fed – (and the seagulls unfortunately!) and to the explanations of the... More

As frequent visitors to Cornwall we have never been to the Seal Sanctuary at Gweek. It has always been on our list. It is a wonderful place for children and parents to visit together. There are interactive boards throughout the whole site where children can answer questions about wildlife. It is mainly a rehabilitation centre for sick and injured seals... More

The place is nice and clean, the staff, are nothing but friendly, and very helpful, couldn't do enough to help, which is a really nice change, to see such you people who... More

This is my favourite place to visit with my family and the dog. The staff are freindly and they work really hard to look after these seals. Bring a a picnic and enjoy the calm and the views. We come from plymoith on a day trip then stop at Rick Steins in Falmouth for some fish and chips on the... More

Great setting and an interesting place to visit. Not cheap but understandable what with the cost to run it. Kids can have a good day here as there is more than just seals on show

This is a small sanctuary. That we enjoyed having a look round. Not really an all day thing. The seals were lovely and they are doing a fantastic job. Not really loads to do.

An informative and enjoyable visit with the Seals, also has Sea-Lions, Penguins and Otters. some very nice nature walking paths and picnic areas. A bit steep on entry price for a quick visit, but bring a packed lunch and a book and just spend a couple of hours watching the seals and the relaxation of it will make it worth... More
