We stopped here on our way to Denver. Years ago, you could just drive up to the tracks. Now, you have to walk or take a shuttle tour. The tour was informative. I learned a lot. Our guide, Nick, was sweet and obviously passionate.

We enjoyed the shuttle tour- our guide was helpful and knowledgeable and was enjoyed looking at the fossil footprints. The museum is very small and not as interesting but I do think the outside fossils make it worth a visit. We also brought a lunch...More

If you are in the area, it is ABSOLUTELY worth the trip to Dinosaur Ridge! It’s in the Lakewood area (“west” Denver). First: there are two locations that will come up on Google maps. One is the Dinosaur Ridge Discovery Center which is at Entrance...More

Short hike to see dinosaur footprints and dinosaur fossils. Best if you go in the morning so it's not so hot. Great overlooks. Free

The exhibition is tiny. The tour path used to be open to public but no longer. Tour guide is very knowledgeable though, I can pretty much ask anything and get a sensible response.

Definitely do the shuttle bus tour. We considered walking, but it would have been mostly uphill, and we wouldn't have learned nearly as much as we did from our guide. The museum area is okay, but small and really just a good place to pass...More

The picture I had seen online were misleading. There are 3-4 small sites. For my raging Dino enthusiasts, this didn’t impress them. That being said, it is interesting to hear about the history of the site and discoveries in CO in general. The bus was...More

Visited with my 10 year old niece on our Denver Dino adventure. The museum really isn't all that spectacular, but the tour was worth the visit. Bree was fantastic and it was amazing to see tracks and fossils and what they call "bulges." If you...More
