Finally, after a third trip to Colorado Springs, we were able to go to the summit!. The cog ride was wonderful. It was cold at the top, and it was snowing, but that didn't stop us from enjoying the views! The donuts were great! The...More

Amazing views from the Peak! So glad we were able to go all the way to the summit. We booked the tickets online two days in advance and it was convenient to purchase the map and parking ticket at the same time. Wasn't used to...More

Visited the Pikes Peak Cog Railway with family. This was a fun and scenic event. The ride is fun. Seats are hard so if you have hip problems, this may be uncomfortable. Sit on the left side (facing the peak) so you can see the...More

We were told ahead of time that the train would not be going to the summit. We accepted that. However, most of the best views were on the 3-seat side of the train going up and we were unable to see or take pictures of...More

Peak is wonderful..breathtaking scenery..an awesome experience..however...the railway..not so much..it's very cramped they try too put too many people in a small car. If at all possible..drive ur vehicle up and save $40. Old downtown Manitou Springs was very nice..take the time too see it, if...More

Because of bad weather on top of the Peak the day we rode the Cog Railway, it was disappointing we did not make it to the top. We were only able to ride up to 12,200 ft, just above the tree-line, to a point called...More

There really is nothing else like this 2 car train. Starting in dense forest it winds its way up a stream bed until coming above treeline where the views become absolutely spectacular out the very large windows. Train was completely full but did not feel...More

Spectacular breathtaking views along the Manitou cog railway up to Pike's Peak summit! Ride was about one hour and a half each way with full length windows on both sides. Had about 45 minutes at the summit which was extremely cold but definitely worth the...More

This will feel very touristy when you start and you will wonder why you paid $40 per person to do it, but once you start to pass the tree line and take in the first of the views from that altitude, you will be glad...More

This place gets busy fast. You need to go early to have a hope in getting a parking place. We couldn't get near it because of all the cars and people so we will try again on a future trip.

I am wondering if we would have to make train reservations for a party of 10? We're driving up from the Denver area beginning of June to do the train ride up to the summit. Thanks!

Thank you for contacting us with your question! I would definitely recommend making a reservation at least 3 to 4 weeks in advance as June starts our busiest season. We are open 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm, give us a call... More
Hi, We have a planned vacation in Pikes Peak coming up in two weeks. But, I recently found out that I am pregnant :) - I would love to visit this place and really looking forward to it, but is it safe for pregnant women to travel the cog railway and be up at 14000 ft ? Also, I am flying to Colorado, which is a 2 hrs flight (each way) from my place I could not get any doctor's appointment before our vacation days, so hoping to find some answers here. Please help. It would be great if I could get advice from someone who was pregnant and visited Pikes Peak and other Colorado attractions. Thank you so much. Kindly advise. Has anyone visited Pikes Peak while pregnant ?
