This was our first hike in Colorado and I think it will be hard to top. It took us about 4 hours but we stopped a lot for photos.

My stepdaughter and her long-time boyfriend had their wedding ceremony near the cabin ruins on June 23, with some snow left in the area, it was just an absolutely beautiful setting. Forest road leading up was impassable due to deep snow in places. 20+ people...More

We stopped to take a short snowshoe hike up this beautiful Valley on our way to Leadville. There are old mining era buildings still remaining above treeline. The trail is not steep and plenty wide enough for both skiers and snowshoers.

My friends and I came up from Oklahoma for a concert and decided to stop at Mayflower Gulch. It was breathtaking! Especially the views from up high!

Loved this hike, not to strenuous and when it opened up there were old cabins. The old buildings lent to great pictures using the old buildings with the mountain as a back drop. My pictures turned out wonderful !!!!!

Mayflower Gulch is a beautiful dayhike close to Leadville, CO. From forest to alpine meadow to rock bluffs and snow-capped peaks in June. Definitely worth the stop!

The trek up Mayflower Gulch trail was the best part of our off season trip to the Colorado mountains. This was a 4 mile round trip walk through beautiful country on a pretty well-packed snow-covered trail, even at the end of May. On the advice...More

By now it should be snow free; at least up to 10,000 feet.
