Pictures do not do this place justice. Simply breathtaking and worth the trip. Also went to Twin Lakes Village to the tourist info center and the lady was really helpful. Don't miss this scenery if you are in the area

Great area away from the crowds. The lake is clean and one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Many hiking options and campgrounds in the area. I hope the crowds never find this special place.

These lakes appear to be beautiful although during this trip, they still had ice on them on 6/1/17. The drive is easy to get to them.

The day we visited it was a bleak miserable day wit low cloud and misty rain, very cool even in the mid summer. On a sunny day it could be a great place to spend some time.

Twin lakes is a great place for views. We went in winter so the lake was frozen but there were some people on snowmobiles. Cool area will have to come back in the summer to see it then.

Stopped here on our way to Leadville.. Late September and the Arsenal were a spectacular yellow. We picked up a picnic lunch and just hung out for hours. Must See!

Not sure if there's a swim beach. But that's Mountain water, it will be very cold. You could probably stand in up your ankles for about five minutes and then you'll have to get back out because you'll be freezing. Most of... More
