This was a wonderful experience. We arrived with our french friends on a Sunday afternoon and they were so accommodating. They were very patient with us as we translated for our friends and the tour was relaxed and not rushed or impersonal. Our guide Gabe was especially great. a 2 hour trip that was enjoyed by grown ups as well as kids. Even in the cold rain the kids loved panning for gold with the assistance of Kenny the guide.

We had such a great time, and the staff is very friendly! It was worth the money and time to visit the mine and mill, and get to sift for gold! A very enjoyable day and good for the whole family.

A great tour that starts with a introduction video and shows you varies minerals, then you take a shuttle up to the Double Eagle Mine for an easy walk into what mines of that time looked like. After that, the tour takes it's time winding through the Argo mill itself. Numerous opportunities to ask questions and let you see how... More

My family of 5 had a wonderful visit to the gold mill. It was a little pricey, but in the end everyone was happy they experienced it. Our tour guide, Austin, was fantastic, very knowledgable and engaged.

My family of 4 went over Spring break. We have an eighteen year old and a 10 year old. Our tour guide was Ryan. He knew everything and answered our questions easily. It was a 90 minute guided tour where we started out in a room with pictures and artifacts. He told the beginning history of the mine. We went... More

We stopped here on the way from Winter Park to Denver and the kids (early teens) loved panning for gold! It turned out to be one of the most memorable parts of our ski vacation. We didn't have time for a tour, so we paid $12 each to pan and they were given good instructions by a guide. They filled... More

Very interesting with tons of artifacts interspersed within actual mine structures. Presentation and video were very informative. Includes a tour into an actual gold mine and actual panning for real gold along with a hands-on trial of ab actual pneumatic drill. Tour guide Ryan and Wyatt were very knowledgeable.
