I've given a rare 5 star rating due to the combination of facility+employees & amazing HOT water pool! We swam for hours due to the amazing hot water pool!!! Kids LOVED not being cold. Located in the world's highest and largest valley and desert (the San Luis Valley receives about 7-9 inches of rain each year), the Sand Dunes Recreation Hot Springs Pool offers a relaxing option to the Great Sand Dunes National Park and the mountainous San Juan, San Isabel and Rio Grande National Forests that surround the valley. The San Dunes Pool... More

We absolutely loved the greenhouse. Great options for temperatures and interesting locals to chat with. Bartenders and food for. The pool were great. The pop part was very crowded with school buses and college night. All the staff was great. Cabin 3 wasn't ideal. I know this was a glamping experience but the portapottiez were over used due to only... More

The Sand Dunes Recreation Hot Springs is a perfect getaway! The pool is perfect for all ages and naturally warm. You can rent child pool toys. There's a small creek area with a small slide that is powered by the pool run off. The spring is a mile deep, and the grill/restaurant is called mile deep and serves amazing food.... More

The Sand Dunes pool has been our go to spot for years. We have always enjoyed the upgrades they have made. The staff all around is super friendly. They have come a long way. We always stay in the tent sites. This was the first time we had a problem and was disappointed. We got stuck in the middle, fine... More

We stayed here while in town for a friends graduation. Brought our pop-up camper and stayed in one of the electric hook up sites. The sites are all small and crowded, with your neighbors basically right on top of you. Tent sites are the same way. Almost like an outdoor hotel, they seem to be packing as many people on... More

I have been coming here for 20 years and every year they make some improvement or addition. The latest is the adult only area with a bar and a dry sauna along with several pool choices.

Found this place on accident while trying to find a place to stay at the last minute "near" the GSDNP. We rented the big house, so it slept our family of 6 very well of course. Each kid had their own bedroom. It averaged out to less than $200 bucks per night and if you have a large family, you... More

Came here to relax at the Greenhouse. Greenhouse is 21+, quiet and relaxing. 4 pools, sauna and bar. Food from the grill is really good as well. Lovely outdoor area for kiddos. They have cabins for rent and RV spots as well.
