I am never disappointed when I come here for an ice cream or go beach combing or to grab some lunch. The little gift shops are so cute, shop keepers are so friendly and always have time for a chat. Love it here.
Stopped here for lunch on our tour. Had a quick look in a couple of the craft shops and bought a nice xmas decoration that was made locally. Overlooks the river. Quite peaceful and felt miles away from the city. Cute wooden buildings in varied...More
Caught the ferry and then bus to Fisherman's Cove. Had a pleasant afternoon walking on the boardwalk and relaxing taking in the scenery. Good place to go during the week. I would think it would be bedlam during the weekend. Would recommend the ferry and...More
We enjoyed our visit to Fisherman's Cove. Quaint little shops with art and gifts. Loved the bright coloured buildings. Nice location right on the water. We ended up coming here twice. A definite must when visiting the Halifax area.

It is a 25 minute car ride from downtown Halifax (cruise docks). If you take the ferry from Halifax to Dartmouth and the #60 bus it will let you off about a 1/2 mile from the area, otherwise you really need a taxi (expensive) or rent a car ( not worth it if only going there). It is not an easy place to describe how to get to - you would want to use a GPS.
