We were travelling from Breckenridge to see the National Monument and Arches State Park. Grand Junction was ideally situated for two nights. We found everything we needed there, restaurants, shops, fuel stations, and a lovely pedestrianised down ton area to walk around and stretch our legs after sitting in the car so long. The town is very well cared for,... More

Strolled through downtown Grand Junction, just my wife and me! What a nice time that was! Plenty of interesting things to see. Fountains. Sculptures. People. Shops. (I highly recommend Grand Valley Books!) Food! Perfect way to spend an evening!

We had a fun time walking down Main Street enjoying the sculptures and other art. The atmosphere was inviting and the people were friendly. We didn't go into most of the shops because we had our dog with us, but window shopping and the couple of shops that we did go into (one person stayed outside with the dog) were... More

We really enjoyed Main Street, especially on Thursday evenings when they close the street for their farmers market. The stores we visited were friendly and helpful.

We always assumed that grand junction was a stop, but on visiting the downtown it could happened to have been the final destination. Beautiful downtown with art on (literally) every street corner. Locals on a Friday night who were happily to chat away and pass the time. Lots of local restaurants and shops. What us brits have in our mind... More

We enjoyed walking a few blocks one way to eat then coming back to the car. The shops are all cute and if we had more time would have enjoyed shopping in more than a couple places. Loved the iron structures/statues all around too! Very Fun!

The main street is nice and wide, lined with artwork and trees. Its one of the most pleasant strolls I have had in any small town. Lots of quirky shops, and good restaurants.

We had a great experience visiting the Main Street of Grand Junction. The town is very pedestrian friendly, with nice shops, eateries, and other amenities. But above all, the public sculptures are worth stopping to see. The only 'fly on the ointment ' driving here were the traffic circles. Don't let that stop you, though..just be vigilant!

We stayed at the Hampton Inn in downtown and it was surprising how nice the Main Street area was. We could get everything we needed right there - even groceries and gas. The streets are attractively landscaped with public art and were very clean. It felt safe; although there were some noisy young people loitering about, we were not approached.... More

Downtown has a few nice features and historic properties. Shops were not particularly exciting and we were not that struck by the choice of restaurants.
