I grew up looking at my father's steam engine books as a child. Despite having the love of trains instilled in me at a young age, the Railroad Museum was somewhat of a disappointment. If you like looking at old, stationary, trains you may enjoy...More

Most of the exhibits were closed for maintenance so it left us with very limited options when it came to looking at the trains. In addition, its right across the street from a water treatment plant which leads to quite nauseating smells whenever the wind...More

You'll not find another place with so many trains to explore, climb on and walk through. The big engines are really big. The small trains are tiny. And the specialty trains are really special. If you love trains, this is the place of your dreams.

We had a hard time getting my sons (ages 6, 8, 10, 13) to leave because they loved this place. In the basement, there is a huge toy train exhibit. Outside, you can walk inside of every train car imaginable.

Fun place to spend an afternoon if you're a fan of history, trains, or have a child who is into Thomas and Friends. We took our grandson and had to drag him away after many hours exploring. Unpretentious and refreshingly authentic.

We took our granddaughter here - she's almost 4 - and we all loved it. I can't say for certain but it appears to be a private museum - not government funded. Many volunteers keep things running (the train rides that they periodically run around...More

Our family, including a toddler, really enjoyed this museum. The history was really interesting for the adults, and my 20-month-old son loved seeing the old, real trains.
