Arrived on A Sunday afternoon and unfortunately many of the carriages were closed. Good number of trains and locomotives. The scaled trains downstairs are impressive. Not bad value for $10 pp, guess we hit it when not much was going on.

We went on a Sunday and it was not crowded. Our two year old had fun exploring the trains at her own pace. There are train rides on Saturdays but not on Sundays. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We spent about a hour and...More

As a self confessed train nut, I just had to stop here on our Golden visit. This is, without doubt one of the best laid out train museums in the country. The rolling stock, the magnificent garden railway, the friendly staff and the overall sense...More

I love trains. I've been here multiple times! There is a lot to see, learn and do. Sometimes you can take a ride on the train. The coolest part/feature is the turntable. We got to see it in action one day! They have seasonal events...More

I am sorry to say that I cannot give the Colorado Railroad Museum a better rating. It is true that there are lots of cars and some engines scattered about on the grounds of the museum, but many were not open to visitors. This is...More

This is great for the kids. Plenty of opportunity to climb on old iron, get a ride and see trains moving - boths full size and miniature. We've had annual passes a couple of times and it's worth it. I can recommend.

This is a must see if you love trains. There is a great area where they are all set up and you can even take a ride on a train. I was there one time and I loved it.

If you have even the slightest interest in railroads, I recommend this visit. The HO display was incredible, the outdoor gauge trains were extremely well done and the display of engines and cars was outstanding. Loved the cabooses and the Coors train.
