I was a little worried about doing this in November because it sounded like it might already be snowing up there, but the weather was great and there were still a number of people I ran into on the way up and down. Close to...More

This was an amazing experience. My advise are use the restroom at home/hotel, go there before 8am and take your time to enjoy the experience and the surrounding. Finally, make sure to take as many pics as you can and enjoy the beauty of God's...More

this is the number 1 hike in Colorado, can be very busy in the summer and they are going to start taking permits to go up, so plan ahead and don't miss this beautiful place.

Stunning hike in Colorado's White River National Forest. Although this is a short hike, the elevation can be challenging for inexperienced hikers. Absolutely worth it! Once you make it to the lake, take the path to the left to see the larger waterfall. Absolutely incredible!

Wow, this place lived up to all the hype. The hike was steep for sure - especially the ending but the best part is once you conquer the hardest part of the trail you are there. That's rewarding. We went on a Thursday morning in...More

Very convenient access off the main highway, there was ample parking with restrooms at the base. The hike may be short but with the altitude and elevation gain on this hike PACE yourself. I would rate this as a moderate hike for those people visiting...More

This was a fabulous hike. Be prepared, it's over a mile each way and the trek up is very steep. I would also recommend a jacket and beanie as you climb the temperature drops. Well worth the views.

This was a highlight of our trip. It is hard work (particularly if you are new to this altitude as we were), but very rewarding. You can see why it is so popular. Probably best to get there early if you want to see it...More

It will be cold then, but pretty sure the trail is open year round. The surrounding weather and roads would be the only limitations if it has snowed a lot. Check the roads with CDOT. Any precipitation on the trail would... More

Typically it is open year-round except for certain days for trail maintenance. Wintertime would possibly require the right equipment such as crampons and proper boots, clothes and poles. Hanging Lake is part of the white... More
