get an early start so you can hike up to where the parasailers launch from near the "cross". The first section is straight up but keep going, the views of the GWS Valley are worth it!

Good hike with great views of the Glenwood Springs area. It was moderately challenging as I took a mix of road and trails. The trails make the hike more challenging. Give yourself a couple hours round trip.

Great place and the atmosphere is amazing as long as you don't mind the sulpher smell. Bring plenty of water. A bit pricey but worth it.

This trail is TOUGH. Steep, rocky and somewhat gravelly at times. We didn't make it all the way up. However there's a nice trail that goes to the Wolfsohn trail which is a gradual climb and then the same elevation when you reach the plateau....More

Stay off the road and hike the mountain path up, and you won't be disappointed. Great view of Glenwood Springs.

We locals call it the "Hike to the Cross" and I've made the ascent many times over the years. Allow several hours to get up and down, unless your into fitness and running and don't have slow pokes in your group. Please bring plenty of...More
