This Country Gothic Revival home originally belonged to silver baron William Arthur Hamill. Hamill greatly expanded a small Rocky Mountain home into a grand display of Georgetown's wealth in the latter part of the 19th century. We are open May (Memorial Day) through September (Labor Day). If you are a history buff, you've really gotta make this stop! From the lovely sounding Thorens music box, to the 5 hole out-house, it's a treat. Very well guided tour. Simply beautiful.

Owned and operated by Historic Georgetown, worth a visit if you like old homes- its a quick side trip from the Town's Main Historic Street.

Pat, our guide, did an excellent job. The house is wonderful, restored to period with many pieces original to the house. Family history is extensive, and the grounds are wonderful. The only down side was not being able to take pictures inside the house.

This is a nicely restored Victorian house in the cute little town of Georgetown. If you're visiting Georgetown for one of their seasonal festivals or just to ride the train, I highly recommend a stop in the Hamill House. The architecture is beautiful, and it's interesting to learn about life in the mountains back when Georgetown was just a little... More

The staff of Historic Georgetown, Inc. are doing a wonderful job of preserving this unique part of their community's history. Earlier this year, staff discovered a structural problem that could threaten the integrity of the home. They have done a great job of stabilizing the problem at a very early stage and are working carefully to correct the problem without... More

We were advised to visit Georgetown whilst in Colorado as it has a connection to Liverpool! As we walked down the street to thsi house, it was great to get the feeling of old America. Unfortunately we didn't get a chance to take part in a tour of the house as the last tour had already begun but go see... More

Opened in 2004 but we had never been there. Interesting historical outdoor display about the Eisenhower Johnson tunnels. Inside several displays of period pieces like China setting. The usual maps and brochures. Nice clean restrooms. Lots of parking and a picnic area with a dog walk. Interesting shop for knick knacks

Lovely place. Must see... I found the children room quite creepy but I guess that was a thing back then... The ladies that give the tour definitely know the house history!

Very nice well maintained older estate with interesting memorabilia, especially in our case, a display of heirloom seeds for sale. Even though the museum was closed on the day we were in Georgetown, a local from a gift shop offered to call and see if we could be accommodated and were invited up with directions on how to get on...
