This was a great attraction riding up in the trails and hiking to several zip lines. Devil's Thumb has the second best zipline attraction in Colorado. I felt the staff was very educated and made it very welcoming and we felt safe the whole time. I would recommend this if you have kids and are active and love the outdoors.... More

This has to be one of the most beautiful times of the year to go to this area of Colorado! The colors were simply stunning. Be prepared for wild fluctuations in temperatures though- we saw everything from 91 down to 24 and a dusting of snow! Crazy, but wonderful time to see the Elk in rut and catch a glimpse... More

The Fraser Valley has stunning views, endless outdoor activities, wide open spaces and people who are very friendly and down to earth. Getting around is easy, there are great restaurants for all tastes, and many fun activities for families. People visit once and get hooked for a lifetime.

This snowshoe hike travels along a Creek called Jim Creek. It's trailhead is in the first half of Winter Parks overflow free parking lot across from the first parking lot that services the gondolas. When coming up the pass it will be on the right side of the resort. A big sign/map will be the entrance to the hike on... More

Old logging and railroad town in the mountains of Colorado nestled against the continental divide. Shopping, restaurants, bars and one very sweet tattoo parlor.

Such a gorgeous area - especially during Aspen season. Beautiful views of mountain ranges and Rocky Mountain National Park! Close drive to Grand Lake, Breckinridge, and more!

Fraser Valley is a great place for an easy hike. It runs through Winter Park and Fraser, but in some spots you can pretend you are far away from civilization. It is always clean and well cared for and they have nature and historical postings along the way. The area is both kid and dog friendly!

This trail, which runs along Hwy. 40, is a good introduction to hiking at elevation; if you aren't a veteran Colorado hiker or biker, it is a nice gentle way to get used to the elevation and still get a little exercise. It is a gravel path that has gentle hills and valleys, and since it is in the Fraser... More
