I live in Fort Collins, and drive by this extraordinary spring/summer display several times a week. I also attend concerts (and actually will perform in one tomorrow, as it were) at the Griffin Hall at the University Center for the Arts of CSU, which is right across the street. So, if you have tickets to an event at UCA, you... More

Visiting this place a few years ago filled me in on what to expect from the commercial plant market in the next few years. This place is gorgeous, and am so glad they made a good use of my former high school's grounds. Some of the trial coleus are to die for!

This is my favorite place to bring a sack lunch and eat during the later Spring and summer, and even into the early fall. Plenty of benches and few tables, and an abundance of beauty to take in with all of the amazing flowers! There are also several nearby places to grab quick take-out or simply a coffee from the... parking can be a challenge-- Flowers will not be ready till June-- August is prime! talk to the students working there to get the low- down-- Flowers of all types- new ones that one would not grow in zone 4-5- Too bad CSU does not put pots in front of the dorms--flowers can stay alive till November- Wear sensible shoes!

At peak season - June thru Sept - you will see many varieties of flowers and plants installed and being tested for their capacity to thrive in our climate. Beautiful and a great place to take those older visitors who love flowers and gardening. Afterward, you can go to lunch in Old Town. Or stop by Ciao Vino.

The trail gardens are not only simply beautiful, they can be an education in itself. It's a wonderful place in the middle of the city to take a stroll and relax while you enjoy the beauty of all colors of flowers! I've gone there many times over the years. If you are getting married or need an awesome photo location... More
