I live a mile out of the forest, so needless to say i visit is frequently. The trails are well marked and maintained. Great camping abound. Off roading is endless, may not be beginners trails though. Wildlife is well managed by the forest service.
This forest is huge and there is so much to do. We hiked so many trails and so so many new “critters”. Two weeks and we barely scratched the surface. Lumber Grove trail was one of my favorites. As was Guanella Pass.
