These magnificent rocks tell us the true story of the historic past of our planets. One can see ancestral rocks that has been developed by the faults and shaped by winds and water. At around 6000 feet one can see fossils of sea life which indicates that this place has been under water hundreds of millions of years ago. This... More

excellent hiking, close to nature, nearby the city, but feels a world away. It was fun to watch the rock climbers! You can take a picnic and enjoy the bubbling stream. Stay for an hour or all day!

The canyon was huge and there were many people involved in rock climbing activities. They looked like small ants in front of the canyon. There are many trails around the canyon and a steady stream of water goes through out the canyon. It is Nature at its best. There are lot of informational boards and markers about the various habitats in... More

We did not have a lot of time, but in a couple of hours we had it was a nice walk with spectacular views. The trails are accessible for the young kids my friends took with them.

This was an amazing find, just 30 minutes outside of Denver, great trails, visitors' center, views, hiking, mountains, streams - Cannot say enough about this place, especially if you are in Denver and short on time.

We took a drive thru the Canyon, very short drive. Just beautiful scenery all around. We happened to catch several groups of climbers, one man was climbing with NO ropes, or helmut. Locals say he probably has been doing it for years, nevertheless I found it very hard to watch. Just a beautiful place, I cant say it enough.

This park is beautiful. It is a narrow canyon that is crisscrossed by Eldorado Creek. The park is a favorite location for rock climbers. While there, we observed many free climbers in their element. The park is protected by towering and sheer rock faces. The views are dramatic. The road terminates at the visitor's center. There you will find picnic... More

A few minutes south of Boulder, there is a well marked turn, onto the road to Eldorado Canyon State Park, and the town, a couple of miles west of the Park. At the Park, there is an old stone house, sealed, but the windows are actually designed to defend the place from attack. The river runs right through the Park,... More

I took the Fowler trail and it was a very easy walk and the views are just amazing. Then I went on the goshawk trail about two thirds of the way up and the views were just phenomenal there as well. My family and kids took the rattlesnake trip up to the old hotel and said it was fairly strenuous... More
