Having lunch outdoors at James Ranch has become so popular that they have had to expand the kitchen. Best grilled cheese sandwich ever...made with their own cheese. Their organic farming methods are actually fascinating so take the wagon tour if you can. Little store there has their fresh vegetables, cheese, and grass fed beef.

Great Burgers and Salad! Love the atmosphere of sitting outside and petting the baby goats. If you are headed north of Durango in the summer, I highly recommend a stop here for lunch!

I purchased half a beef this fall and am very glad I did. It is fabulous! Had lunch while I was waiting to pick up my order. The home made cheese is very good. Love the location. Will definitely be back.

We shared a burger and salad. Both were overpriced, but good, although we've had much better burgers elsewhere.

This is a great place to grab a burger for lunch or dinner. The burgers themselves are excellent, and the Inside Out Cheese Melt is amazing, but the real star is the setting. Outdoor picnic style eating with room to explore and play for kids. Beautiful views of the valley. We had a very delicious, relaxing, and fun lunch here.... More

With house made cheeses, to the baked goods. Just the picnic atmosphere with chickens, goats and cows part of the landscape. You know you are getting fresh ingredients. Always a joy to stop and have lunch.

Nice picnic setting....dog friendly. Burgers only...with various toppings...and potato salad or chips. Small shop with local food items...cheese, produce, beef.

It's a nice place for a picnic style lunch with friends. The hamburgers were good and cooked to order but the other choices were limited since they were out of several other dishes. It's a relaxing choice away from the hustle and noise of cities. Interesting chickens roaming around!

Outdoor seating so plan visit around weather. Ended up being our favorite food stop during our stay in Durango.
