We took our 4 grandkids rafting on the Animas River and had so much fun they begged to go again! There is something for everyone on this river, class I-III and up the river IV-V+ rapids.

This river is pristine ! It is gorgeous to view and swim in, just stay in eddies or close to the bank. The town of Durango is well maintained and the people are very friendly.

Very beautiful surroundings. Goes right through town. Fun for rafting or viewing. Saw some deer by the banks. A little rain just added to the relaxing sound of the whitewater over the rocks.

A quiet, peaceful river that flows through town. We stayed at a motel with the river right behind it and enjoyed exploring with our dogs.
