This is a unique park up the mountain from Colorado Springs. I visited Oct. 3rd and the changing aspen leaves were sparkling and wonderful. The trails are extensive and on occasion it is a bit difficult to follow the trail map. Leave yourself some extra...More

Wonderful hiking trails. We were there on a Sunday afternoon at the height of the summer season and yet had the short hiking trail totally to ourselves. It was posted that the campsites were full but it didn't feel overly crowded. We loved visiting this...More

As far as Colorado State parks go this one is kinda small but very nice and has plenty of learning activities. As far as most of the other 49 states go this is a pretty great state park.

Camping was great right on the lake, Host was very commentating to hold a place for us when we called for reservations. Lots of grassy spots. Peaceful and quite. A great base to go see this beautiful town and its sites.

Just for clarification, the incident in the bathroom was only one time. This did not occur on a daily basis. And, as awkward as it was, this would not keep me or my friends, from returning. Hope to visit this park... More

I know there is one short trail that's wheelchair accessible that goes around a small pond. It's one of the first "trails" you come to, on the left.
