This movie theater is a restored grandiose performing arts theatre. Absolutely stunning surroundings. Our movie was about the cats of Istanbul. A lady spoke to us from the front of the theater to introduce it. That was a nice touch. The theater was clean & spacious, great popcorn, and nice staff. The unique ambiance gave my boys an introduction to... More

The Mayan is an old style art theater. They split the balcony in half to make three screens. Stick to the main floor, (hint: the main floor movie will be listed as handicap accessible). Look around at the decorations, it's beautifully restored. There is a bar upstairs. I don't enjoy the balcony screens, everything is cockeyed, no legroom, the floors... More

This is one of the very best places in Denver to see indie films. Try to see a film that is showing in the main (lower) theatre to get a real feel for the place. Lots of places to eat nearby also.

We go see movies here and enjoy that the manager still comes out before the previews to thank folks for supporting them. It's a great excuse to go in to town, and see something non-Hollywood.

I rarely ever go to movies. But when I do this is my absolute favorite movie theater. The decor of the theater itself rivals the very movies they show. Friendly staff and great atmosphere provide for a fantastic night out to the movies.

Such a cool vibe at this theater. It's original architecture and decor make it a unique move-going experience. They mostly show indie films that deserve to get more attention. Definitely a wonderful place to go if you're looking for a more low key movie going experience.

They show a great selection of indie movies. The building itself has been maintained in its original state. It adds atmosphere to your movie experience. The location is super because of the number of independent bars and restaurants in the vicinity. A great spot for a night out.

This theater has retro decor and screens about 5 different indie films at any given time. Tons of restaurants and bars right next door in the Baker neighborhood. Screens are a little small and the seats a little past their prime. Good snacks and beer available for your flick too.

Love the vibe here. Interior is tired but feels authentic. Seats are comfortable enough but rows and aisles are tight. Nice bar with reasonable prices. Very friendly staff. Glad Denver has venues like this for films that appeal to smaller audiences.
