You often read about the history of the Railroad and Gold Rush barons who built mansions on Knob Hill in San Francisco. Well, the Grant-Humphreys Mansion at 770 Pennsylvania Street in Denver belongs there. Built in 1902, in the Neoclassical style of architecture by Boal and Harnois for James Benton Grant following his one term as the third governor of... More

We attended a family wedding at the mansion. Very beautiful venue. Lovely staircase for the bride to walk down. Great area in the basement for dancing. Beautiful wood floors throughout the whole mansion. Perfect for a wedding under 100 people.

I happened upon this great-looking mansion (Neoclassical architecture; dating from very early in the 1900’s) while walking by Governors Park one Friday around lunchtime. I walked up the hill along Pennsylvania Street from 7th Avenue, then went up to the front door. Couldn’t see anyone. I called “hello”; no one there. Walked around a little bit and looked around corners;... More

What a beautiful place in the middle of the city. The grounds were perfect and the building inside and out was gorgeous. The ceremony and wedding reception was all there and they did a good job.

We stopped here before going to the Molly house. The parking is ample but there are no instructions on where to go to get into the house. We headed up the stairs on the right side. The door was unlocked and we went in. No one was around. We kinda gave ourselves our own tour when we realized we should... More

The Grant-Humphreys Mansion is one of the most beautiful examples of beaux-arts architecture in Denver. Unless you're attending an event, or around during Doors Open Denver, you won't be able to see the interior, but the exterior and the grounds are well worth a visit by themselves.

I have been to many weddings and social events at the Grant-Humphreys, and I have to say that this is an excellent event site! It has so many possiblilites and it is reasonalbly priced. The history is rich, and the house has so much character. I highly recommend this place for any social gathering, it is a Denver treasure!
