Debbie greeted us the door and explained the museum. She was very informative and we chatted a few times during our visit informing us of interesting things. We visited all of the floors of the first building, hit the miners cabins, Assay shop and the last building and gift shop. It was a nice self paced informative tour. Even my... More

The only reason I gave this a 4 instead of a 5 is that there's not much else to bring you to the area other than casinos. Great museum though & wonderful staff who was super kind and informative.

I've seen better for $7, informative for the area, but not for the price, I would not pay more than the $5 for military rate I paid.

Wonderful architecture, great history of the building, fantastic exhibits, what more can you ask for! This was truly a walk through time, from the early 1800's through the early 1900's. An eclectic mixture of items, from vintage phonographs to weapons to clothing, you name it! There are five buildings that comprise the museum: the Railroad Depot (main building), two miners... More

The building is the cornerstone of the property which also houses the train, historic housing, the gift shop, and outdoor mining equipment. A lot here and a good place to take kids.

If you have limited time, make this your first priority. The museum houses a fabulous collection of history from the Last Great Gold Boom in the late 1800's and early 1900's. All ages will enjoy this walk through history.

This museum is comprised of 5 buildings and there is so much to take in and learn it's amazing. It was cool to see and learn so much about cripple creek and gold mining.

Fascinating museum detailing the history and evolution of gold mining in Cripple Creek. Lots of information here, plan to take at least an hour to walk through and study all the exhibits. Cripple Creek itself, at least on main street, has turned itself over to the gaming industry. Lots of casinos. Not the town my grandfather would remember when he... More

This is really a great value for what you get. We got to see 5 different attractions for $7/person. I will agree with previous users, there is a lot of "stuff", especially in the main museum. There are 3 floors FILLED with stuff to look at, but not a lot of information that goes with them. Personally, those old mannequins... More
