The way they pack you into the tiny elevator shaft and drop you down 1000 feet is unreal. It was so fun. Our tour guide was great! Very knowledgeable. Our whole family loved this tour. Very worth the price. Unique experience.

Takes about 2 hours—so cool being able to scrunch into the old 7-person mine shaft elevator to 1,000 feet below ground to explore the workings of an old gold mine. The guide was 4th generation family of gold miners and very enthusiastic about his job...More

The mine tour was fabulous. The tight ride going 1,000 feet below ground would be too much for someone with claustrophobia, but it doesn’t last very long. The tour guide did an awesome job telling and demonstrating the mining methods. When he drilled into the...More

We didn't quite know what to expect, we'd been on several mine tours before and this one has been a staple in Colorado for a long time. The facility is very well run. Our guide was a second generation miner and did an excellent job...More

It was a great time! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable. He actually works in the mines. Tour takes an hour or so. It’s a little chilly down there so bring a jacket. Highly recommended

It was cold the day we went, but they had our teenagers attention from the minute we borrowed coats, put on hard hats, loaded 6 people like sardines into a cage and dropped us 1,000 feet. Woo hoo! The dark ride down was like a...More

I've been wanting to come here for years. It did not disappoint. The tickets were approximately $20 per person. That gets you into the worlds only vertical shaft that goes 1,000 feet into the earth and an hour tour in the mine. I will add,...More
