The Golden Bee is famous for freshly prepared pub food, and yards of the finest ales from an extensive collection of English and Irish drafts. Enjoy a hearty selection of snacks, appetizers and the true English tradition of fish and chips, a Reuben sandwich, or a selection of pot pies as lively piano tunes fill the 19th century English Pub. Guests are encouraged to participate in the cheerful atmosphere by joining the nightly Ragtime piano beginning at 7:30 PM and the sing along beginning at 9:30 PM nightly, and proudly wearing their own "Bee's" that change seasonally. Located across from Broadmoor Main, in the back of International Hall at Lake Avenue. Open daily for lunch and dinner. Full menu service daily 11:30 AM to 10 PM, Pub Menu to 12 midnight, beverage service to 1:30 AM. Attire: Bermuda length shorts, dressy denim and collared shirts are required. Seasonal sport coat or blazer suggested. Please no athletic wear, sport wear, shorts, pool attire or gentlemen's hats.

The food overall is good, and the service from the front of the house to the table is friendly. Maddy is a fabulous server. The chicken pot pie now has ham in it and is presented in a smaller cup, but it is still just as filling. The Reuben is still great, but it is no longer accompanied by the... More

This is my favorite of the bars at the Broadmoor, and that says something. The atmosphere is festive and fun. Try the one yard of beer, which comes in a very long vessel.

We went to the Golden Bee for the first time last weekend with family from out of town. Reservations were made for 11:30 am, although I don't see the reason or rationale, as everyone stood in line regardless of reservations. Need to work on that. As to the service, everyone was exceptional, just wish the food matched the service

The staff at the entrance were amazing. Amy Poston (?) went way out of her way to accommodate our party and to get us in as quickly as possible, even though the line went out the door. Definitely get reservations if you want to eat here! Unfortunately, the fish and chips were not good - greasy - ick. And the... More

Two occasions in one week. Place is pricey and the ambiance is good. I have no problem paying six pack price for a single glass of beer, but take exception to having a 20% tip added to the bill. First trip there, tip was less than what I normally leave, so left the change anyway. Second trip it was listed... More

I love this place! It has a great ambiance of British/Irish tradition in America. It recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary. It is a great place to take friends and family who have never been before. The servers throw small embroidered bumblebees with an adhesive backing onto the guests' shirts when they arrive. These little stickers are a great souvenir. Another... More

I love the setting of this restaurant, however it is a bit pricey to eat at very often. The Ruben is excellent, and the beer is really nice. I love the cheese and crackers they give you while you wait on your food and I could almost fill up on it while I wait for my entrée. The shepherds pie... More

We came here on the recommendation from a relative. The menu is super odd, it is not the place to go if you want a burger. We had the Scottish eggs, weird but good. The waiter will throw a sticky bee on you when you sit down. Kind of fun. Was a great little retreat.

This is my third trip to the Bee. Have a reservation or don't go. My two girls and I waited for 45 mins to be seated and the restaurant was half full. Over priced pub food and the automatic 20% service fee affords one average service. I will not go back.

We contacted Brad, one of the Bee's managers over 5 times to get our Holiday Bees for several recent holidays as we are collectors and due to disability can not get into the Pub. We were repeatedly promised they were "in the mail" but never received them. False promises giving false hope - not cool. Would much rather they just... More
