This area has changed a lot in the past ten years and not for the better. While the owners of the small shops and boutiques are very friendly they seem to be struggling and a couple we shopped at closed while marijuana shops are popping up. We took out of town visitors there in the afternoon and they were disappointed... More

Our visit to Old Colorado City was during a very busy time, but this great location is always busy. So you just have to put up with the wonderful eating places, the multiple shops, and great people watching. People around the nation and from around the world are incredible. By the way bring extra cash cause you will need it.

We visited on a January afternoon and the area was not at all busy. Unfortunately many restaurants were closed or closing, so we had to work a bit to find a place to eat. This is probably not a problem in the summer. There are a variety of stores to browse, some selling souvenirs or clothes or crafts and craft... More

Spent the afternoon in Old Colorado City wandering the boutiques and shops. There was fun stuff available, and very hospitable shop owners who knew a ton of history about the area. Some touristy stuff, but a lot of unique art, jewelry and clothing that I haven't seen elsewhere.

Go driving or walking... Nice little stores, bars and restaurants. Safe place to visit with children and family.

We actually enjoyed this area more than shopping at Manitou Springs. We bought some cute souvenirs for friends and had a little snack and the Rocky Mountain chocolate Factory. Just a fun little shopping spot.

Lots of neat shops to quell all interest levels. In Spring time they have a festival that takes up the whole area.

Enjoyed walking and stopping at every shop. There were several restaurants also. Found some treasures.

I love just going from shop to shop and bar to bar when visiting old Colorado City. A lot to do and see at your own pace.
