The Park is in a bad location in the city. I would never make a special trip to go to visit this park. Unless there is a special function I would avoid this park at all costs. -esp at night!

The park has 2 moving memorial spaces, one to military and another for firefighters. A YMCA with pool is there. Lake with beach. Playground and walking paths. An indoor ice skating rink and a velodrome for Olympic bicycle training.

My husband is an IAFF member and was glad to have been able to finally visit the Fallen Firefighters Memorial. It is beautiful and very serene and respectful. The statuary is lovely and completely embodies the selfless heroes that Fire fighters are at the core.

After eating at the Hungry Bear and visiting Manitou Park Lake and Red Rocks, this was the perfect place to end our day in Woodland Park. It is a beautiful park with a stream (man-made I think) that widens until it forms a lake that...More

We visited the park on the 4th of July to witness a symphony and fireworks display. The event was free (donations accepted) and it was a purely family event. There were food vendors, but most people had a picnic. The music could have been a...More

A lap around the lake is mostly a great experience. The views of the mountains are exceptional on the south and east side. You can get great unobstructed pictures. This side also contains the memorials. Music plays periodically out of the large memorial statue. If...More

We enjoyed the section of the park featuring the monuments to veterans. At first we enjoyed the lake feature with the mountains in the background and ducks on the water. And since my son loves to fish and fishing is allowed we thought it might...More

Stumbled across this park, part of it is a dedication to all the Firefighters who've lost their lives saving ours from across North America, sad and stunning all in one and makes you tear up and thank them all for their service.

As a member of a military family, and a firefighter; this is one of those places you stop and remember those who have served and sacrificed.

This local park has something for everyone. Personally, I enjoy kayaking on the lake watching the Canadian geese and fisherman, etc. The park has a skateboard ramp area, biking, soccer, and lots more.

Open. Weekends busy! Only closed at night for security reasons. Park is a hangout for drug dealers. They won't bother you. Poor neighborhood/part of town. Be a "little" careful.
