The buildings are open only on specific days but you can walk the grounds all through the year. It's a beautiful spot that is right in the middle of town with a great view of Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods. Would have loved to have my house here!

Has original buildings from initial settlements of the area. Great learning experience for kids. Also has a small Native American site.

Historic and beautiful! I've attended a couple of events here, a little hidden gem next to Garden of the gods! They even have an apple orchard in the Summer.

We stumbled upon this hidden gem after a trip to the Garden of the Gods. As you enter the park you see a sign for the ranch with closed off gates - continue down the highway to Water Street and double back to the true entrance. Being March nothing was going on but the grounds are beautiful and the natural... More

We go to a Craft Fair each year, but the time we went outside of that was the most interesting as far as historical insight. There is a tour of the little home with guides in period dress. A blacksmith is busily working on his craft with pauses for questions.

We have an annual membership here and love this place when we want to slow down a little bit. This year we went out for the 4th of July with civil war reenactments, old fashioned games like hoop rolling and carnival games for young kids, watching craftsmen make brooms, history and artifacts, just a great day. WE went to the... More

This is a gem within the city. I would have loved to been here before people - with a stream and the Garden of the Gods right there it's a lovely spot. And the society has done a great job of creating events to draw you back to the time period. I love the Christmas events (Also Labor Day, harvest... More

This is the place to see the history of Colorado Springs come to life. There are real old original dwellings and ranch including a fully working homestead, several extremely beautiful homes with servants. It is like a large sprawling town full of dwelling and buildings that were well preserved and untouched throughout time. This ranch was purchased from the original... More
