We had a great time learning about the history of the castle/town and checking out the beautiful grounds. Definitely the most bang for your buck since the other attractions we had visited were double or triple the price of this one and we enjoyed it...More

Interesting family, railroad and Colorado Springs history. Beautiful grounds to walk after a tour. Disabled access as the house has an early elevator. Tours at 10, 12 and 2. They also have a tea. Rooms available in the main house and elsewhere on the grounds.

The castle and grounds are absolutely beautiful! We spent the night in the newly remodeled Cedar Ridge Lodge on the grounds and felt so at peace. Be sure and take the tour of the castle, which was very informative. Our tour guide, Jennifer, was the...More

My wife and I went here on a whim. When we got to the gate we were told we could drive around the grounds, but could do no hiking. We also could stop at the Carriage House to buy books or a snack. The pass...More

We did not stay at the hotel. We took the Rock Tour and Castle Tour. Our family now has a new expression: That's about as exciting as a Rock Tour! Boring! The castle is beautiful and the grounds are too...just don't take the rock tour....More

Can't see much if you aren't there for a meeting or if you are not lodging there. You can drive around and get a sheet on the history, but that was all.More

The castle is beautiful. The ballroom is gorgeous, but smaller than I thought it would be. Having tea on the terrace would be fun but we didn't do that. Walking the grounds is pleasant. They are very well kept and beautiful as well.

Yes. You must book either a tour or a tea to get onto the grounds. The tour price is, I believe, the least expensive option. They also offer many concerts and special events at very reasonable prices for the quality. There... More

Yes you can drive around, with a limited access pass, which they're quite strict about. It's worth it to ask if you can stop in the bookstore.
