Colorado Springs is home to America’s ONLY mountain zoo. Located at 6,800 feet above sea level, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo offers breathtaking views of the city and of its 750 animals. The unique design of the Zoo’s animal exhibits gets guests closer than ever before. Hand-feed one of the largest reticulated giraffe herds in the world, watch grizzlies swim with trout, hop next to red-necked wallabies and get hands on with some of the Zoo’s smaller residents in The Loft. Have a WILD adventure at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo – see the animals, ride an antique carousel, eat a gourmet lunch at the Grizzly Grill and ride the Mountaineer Sky Ride to the Zoo’s summit. Visit 365 days a year for family fun at the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

What an unexpected treat! I have been to many zoos across the country...this one has them all beat. The zoo is built into the mountainside which is truly unique. But, if you have trouble walking you might want to take the guided tour in their...More

I had been looking forward to this but was a little disappointed that some areas closed off ( some due to snow) and many animals were not visible. Love seeing the pics on facebook but didn't relate to the experience I had at the zoo.

Beautiful zoo with great animals! Unique location and setting, on the side of Cheyenne Mountain, gorgeous views of Colorado Springs. Good little places to eat inside, Kind of pricy. Great gift shop for souvenirs.

We've been here twice before. Each time has been different. We enjoyed walking around on a beautiful sunny day in winter to visit again.

Electric Zoo- fun event though it was cold. Lines were a bit long. Prefer to prepay and walk in than wait 30 minutes in line

I hope visitors to this zoo like giraffes. There is some hill climbing to get around. The tram is fun.

One can visit year around. The summer is great, as you can have your picnic lunch near your favorite animal. When you are finished, one can hit the gift shops for those Colorado souvenirs. Fun time.
