A must see

The Chapel at the Academy is absolutely breathtaking. Nothing like it. Interesting and informative displays on the grounds. Good place for children and adults alike.

We could not get in due to Covid regulations but apparently you can book online in-car tours. The viewing area does allow you to see the stadium, etc. Definitely worth visiting.

Huge and lots of trees.

I've been here before but it's always a pleasure to visit. I'm Air Force retired so I can use all the facilities here. We used the commissary, BX, gas station, and library. I love it here. I wanted to see the free fall parachute facility because I graduated from that course in 1990, but the gate was locked. I guess a lot has happened in the past 31 years.

Beautiful from outside the gate

However it is no available to tour and we were not even allowed on just to drive around and see. I understand, but really would have loved to see up close.

Still closed to visitors in mid June 2021
Jun. 2021 • Family
We tried to visit on Sunday June 23th but we were informed by the cadet at the security gates that the campus is still closed due to Covid. They allowed us to do a u-turn at the gate and we were back in the freeway.

An incredible place with an incredible history. The scenic beauty is breathtaking, looks like a living painting. Proud that my son attended such a wonderful institution.

It's Not the Naval Academy, But Stil . . .
May 2021
I'd like to give it one star after what they did to my Navy football team this last year . . . but it really is a beautiful place, and they perform their mission admirably. The second lieutenants they put out for the Air Force and now the Space Force are well-qualified for service to the nation. The chapel is beautiful and dominates the landscape for miles. For people visiting the Colorado Springs area, it is well worth the stop.

A great place to visit and tour. I took my grandkids to see several of their planetarium movies during the summer of 2019. The museum history around the academy is interesting to see.

They should really update their site so people don’t waste a lot of driving time to get there just to be turned away. We checked the site before we went!
