However, a model of what's inside can easily be viewed at the Peterson... More

It serves as a host for military, communications, recreational and residential functions. In the 1950s, during the Cold War, it was the underground operations center for the North American Aerospace Defense Command... More

Wow, what a wonderful place located on the side of the mountain. Hand feed the giraffes. Watch the elephants train. Ride a ski lift to the top for a beautiful view! Be prepared to walk up a lot of hills!

The roads are paved, and the very large and comfortable bathrooms are 1/4 mile away. Although the park is quite spacious, the RV sites are bunched together so close that if your neighbor sneezes, you'll... More

Spent 3 yrs at Ft. Carson with a daily view of this mountain, and went back 30 yrs later for an Army reunion! Of course, spent time taking pics while driving through and enjoying many good memories!

Great state park. Beautiful setting. From our camp site could look down and see Colorado Springs and south toward Pueblo. Turn around and look up the mountain and see the entrance to NORAD. The camp sites are spacious and fully equipped with full hookups. The are three levels on with to choose a site and nearly all have a view.... More

Mountains have a way of providing us peace and comfort and Cheyenne Mountain just does that. A place to pass the time in peace, reflection, either by oneself or with family or friends.

The national park is awesome. Best to go in warmer weather. Lots to do, pack a picnic lunch and enjoy.
