Worth the admission for this new park nestled against the rampart range mountains, plenty of trails that loop around, more to be developed great place for RV or not so primitive tent sites with nearby water and vault toilets, great views of the city below and pet friendly.

This is the best 'secret, hidden, area in state. Love the Zoo and have been inside the Mountain to see how it all falls into the big picture of the World.

When we travel to Colorado Springs, Colorado, we stay at the Broadmoor, one of the world's most famous resorts. It rests in the shadow of Cheyenne Mountain. You can't spend any time in Colorado Springs without spending time on Cheyenne Mountain. Located southwest of Colorado Springs, it is a triple-peaked mountain that rises to 9,200 feet. It serves as a... More

A large sprawling facility which, at minimum, demands a day's visit. Plan on getting good walking exercise. We enjoyed spending time with the giraffes. The other large mammals: elephants, rhinos and tigers are wonders to behold.

Easy trails, well marked and well groomed! The maps available at the office are more than adequate to help you find your way. Bring lots of water! Additionally, there are picnic areas and lots of camp sites! Not sure of the cost...

We pulled our RV here for spring break. In the winter season many of the amenities are not available. The only thing actually open was the visitor center. The staff inside were very helpful and courteous and their prices are very reasonable! The park itself is beautiful and very well-kept up. It's about 15 to 30 minutes away from everything... More

We did a strenous 6 mile hike. We started at 7000 ft and it went up to about 8000 ft. The first half was a strenous mile or two up. If you are not accustomed to the altitude, you might try a less strenous hike. However, the views along the way are well worth the trip and on the day... More
