Plan on an hour or two to see this museum. It's a collection of buildings, mostly historic, some recreations, of the early days in Kit Carson County. I especially liked the sod house and the two story mansion. And the saloon, and the drug store....More

Extensive collection and great preservation of late 1800s/early 1900s buildings. Very friendly staff and prices in gift shop are reasonable. There is an admission charge, but for the extent of the collection, it is worth it.
