This is a beautiful hike. Lot’s to see. Toward the end the trail is hard to follow though and is quite steep. Worth the effort though! When we hiked this trail in 2017, we saw 2 moose. Did not see any 2018 though.
Relatively is a key word. Still a hike - but easier than many nearby trails. Don’t be fooled by a description that is a loop. Most of the return is a walk along a forest service road - hardly a trail. One you get to...More
Moderate hike, a mix of level ground, uphill and rocks. Nice views as you go. We did it on the weekend and the weather was great which made for a very busy hiking. Believe it when they tell you the road gets rough. Jeeps or...More

We did this trail as a day hike. It took us about 3 hours, with plenty of stops for photos and catching our breath, to hike up to the lower lake and back down. The trail continues up to the upper lake, which I heard...More
Was expecting an easier truck but if you go to the falls and later lakes it's definitely more than a moderate trail. First part wasn't terrible. Nice scenery... especially at the end. Had I been in better shape and more acclimated would be easier to...More
