It is worth your time to go to welcome center and the alliance's desk to check out their tour schedule. They offer several options for family and adult activities including walking tours and hikes. Extremely low prices for tours considering the involvement of the guide and alliance. We enjoyed the holiday theme walking tour and quite generous tea all for... More

We walked the Iowa Hill Mine Trail, on Airport Rd on the north side of town. We did not use a guide, but found that there was plenty of signage to explain what we were seeing. The trail was about 1 mile, all of the displays were going up a hill about 600 feet. Children on the trail were having... More

We were very pleased with our guide Jordan who was full of facts and stories which she shared with us as she guided us around the downtown Breckenridge area and adjoining residential streets. On the tour we were able to walk around inside two 19th century houses and one tiny log cabin, all otherwise not open to the public, plus... More

Been to Breckenridge and yet never knew this was there. Self-guided, with excellent exhibits and audio recordings available that make the material very approachable. You can go as quickly or slowly as you want and that makes it a perfect choice for everyone!

Just finished the downtown historical tour of Breckenridge. Our excellent tour guide, June, made the history of Breckenridge come to life. She was very informative and even took extra time after the tour to tell us some other interesting facts about prior residents. I would highly recommend this tour. We toured main street and then went into residential sections and... More

Thank you so very much for taking the time to send your thoughts of the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance's Historic Walking Tour. June is a long time resident with family ties to Breckenridge reaching back at least a century. She has a vast knowledge of our history and cares about our guests. This combination is a great recipe to ensure our... More

We made sure to wear our hair feathers and boas for this adventure! Our tour guide was June and she really knows her history and lots of interesting tid bits about this lovely town. June is a master at putting you back in time. I really enjoyed this tour. I've actually been on 2 other tours and have learned new,... More

We missed out on some of the tours as we could not leave messages on the phone. We showed up for a walking tour, which was fascinating and fun, as well as a great value.

We took the Historic Walking Tour through the downtown area of Breckenridge. It began at the Welcome Center and we walked about a dozen blocks or so through the area where we saw many businesses and homes. The cost was $10 and is billed as a 90 minute tour. We were led by a local who was well-versed in the... More

We ended up taking two tours that the Breckenridge Heritage Alliance offered - the downtown Historic Walking Tour, and the Cemetery Tour just outside of downtown. Our docent for both tours, June, was fantastic and unbelievably knowledgable. She was able to answer almost all our questions and the history of this Colorado mountain town is fascinating.
