The Boreas Pass road is the other way to get to Breck, you come in from the south. It has a place to park at the top. There is snow shoeing in the winter and hiking in the summer. It is a beautiful drive that...More

Boreas Pass Road, found on Google maps as County Rd 10, is easily accessible in the summer with any two-wheel vehicle. Climbing the ridge opposite Breckenridge resort the views are amazing. With many open fields, easy pull-off locations you can take as much time as...More

As you head out of Breckenridge on Main St (CO-9) and make a left onto Boreas Pass Rd, you'll have a normal, paved road for a couple of miles before it turns into a packed gravel/dirt road. May be a bit tough without 4WD, but...More

My dad and I took this drive on the way south towards Colorado Springs. There are some very nice leaf spotting areas and the overall drive is fairly spectacular.

Easily drivable with a regular passenger car, this Mountain Pass Drive is well worth doing. Phenomenal views, beautiful aspens, and scenery that is hard to find in the low lands. Though most of it is on a dirt road, the road is well cared for...More

We took the Boreas Pass Road from Breckenridge to Como then continued to FairPlay and returned on route 9. The dirt road porton was fantastic with great views and opportunities to explore nature along the road. We had a hand out from the visitors center...More

This unpaved road meanders across the mountains allowing for many stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. There are several great places to stop to hand hike and can easily be made into entertainment for a full day.

What TomAB9 said. I would only add that the road gets narrow at times for two cars to pass and so you might use some caution when approaching vehicles in the opposit direction.
